Honors Student Engagement Coordinator
The University Honors Program (UHP) is seeking applications for a full-time Student Engagement Coordinator to join our office. This position oversees and executes student-focused events and programming, mentors student leaders in UHP Campus Life Programs, and provides support and coordination to our educational experiential programming, NEXUS, including our first-year experience. The successful candidate will be responsible both for continuing long-running, successful programming and, in consultation with students and staff, developing new programming and experiences for the over 2,200 students in the University Honors Program. Our programming line up currently includes everything from ice cream socials and trivia nights to faculty panels and a community tutoring program. This position can regularly accommodate up to two days of remote work per-week, with more flexibility available when classes are not in session. This position is regularly required to work during evenings to support student programming, with flexible working hours offered to compensate. Weekend work is possible but rare. This position works with a great deal of independence with regular check-ins with other staff. It is supervised by the Associate Director of Curriculum and Outreach. UHP has recently adopted a comprehensive DEI Strategic Plan. All staff members are expected to actively contribute to its execution and continued development.
