Operations Associate / Director
Equity long-short investment firm located in Los Angeles, CA seeks an operations associate to aid the firm in its investment and operational processes.
Candidates must have a college degree from a four-year institution and two years (or more) of experience in finance / accounting and / or operational systems related roles (experience at an accounting firm or investment firm is a plus).
In addition, candidates should be a natural self-starter with a strong desire to figure out complex situations quickly. Candidates should be resourceful, detail and process oriented, and must have :
- Basic knowledge of investment fund accounting and finance related processes and systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Proven ability to compile, search, and maintain large data files easily.
- Strong research skills.
The ideal candidate would be a professional that is naturally curious about the markets and finance but has a strong desire to add value in an investment firm through the management of various operational processes, including fund accounting, investor relations, and compliance.
The ideal candidate should be forward-thinking as it relates to the creation and management of internal systems and processes and excited about taking ownership over many of these processes.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
