Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our team at Durwood Greene. The ideal candidate will be experienced in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy trucks, construction equipment, and support machinery. This role is essential to keeping our operations running safely and efficiently, and requires someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to quality work.

Core Duties :

• Inspect and diagnose : Perform routine inspections and use diagnostic tools to identify malfunctions in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Repair and replace : Repair or replace worn or damaged parts, such as bearings, pistons, hoses, and major components including engines and transmissions.
• Maintain : Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance, including lubrication, fluid checks, oil and filter changes, and general adjustments.
• Field service : Travel to worksites to perform on-site repairs when equipment cannot be transported to the shop.
• Overhaul and rebuild : Disassemble, overhaul, and reassemble major components and systems as required.
