Composite Technician

Reporting to the Shop Supervisor of the EPD business unit, this is an ideal opportunity for an experienced leader to step into a challenging role, own it, drive success, lead change and quickly make an impact at Curtiss-Wright. The ideal candidate will plan and perform all functions associated with the development, manufacture and repair of composite material components for a wide variety of assemblies, rotors and equipment.

Rate : $31.55

Your Challenge

Work under supervision and receive instructions from appropriate supervision. Work instructions will be both written, verbal, and digital, utilizing drawings, procedures and / or sketches.

Make decisions involving initiative and judgment for all aspects of production work associated with composite materials including, but not limited to : receipt, inventory control, preparation, mixing, assembly, cleaning, preservation, and repair tasks.

Setup and operate various types of equipment singly or in parallel. Equipment includes, but is not limited to :

Chemical equipment and systems

Cleaning and preservation equipment

Cranes / Material Handling equipment

Air / Shot Blast Operation

Tools - Hand, power, air, measuring, lubrication, etc.

Operate all material handling equipment within facility to position and transport work to or from work areas.

Keep work area clean and orderly.

Observe all safety rules and observations. Wear required personnel protective equipment.

Assist other classifications as required and directed.

Other duties as necessary

What You Bring

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain DOD Security Clearances

Associate degree, high school diploma or equivalent and 1 plus years of experience preferred

Experience dealing with chemical compounds would be preferred

Self-starter, goal oriented, customer focused, detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills
