Description
: TEC 602 Multiple Subject Curriculum and Instruction: Visual and Performing Arts is designed to focus on a variety of social justice pedagogies and skills needed to teach in California’s diverse elementary and middle school classrooms. Emphasis is placed on critical self-reflection as the starting point from where student teachers actualize effective social justice arts teaching and assessment practices. Candidates will focus on instructional approaches appropriate for planning and delivering arts-integrated content specific instruction in visual and performing arts to students in Kindergarten through eighth grade.Course Schedule: Class meets on Wednesdays from 7 pm- 9 pm and Saturdays from 9:15 am - 1:45 pm, January 28- February 18.Qualifications:
