Our Charge Support Specialist reviews and corrects professional billing charges on hold using billing protocols, carrier claim rules and advices. May require communication with providers and / or their representatives to ensure billing is filed timely an accurately to ensure clean claim submission with first submission payment. The Charge Support Specialist works in the Practice Management System in Workflow Dashboard reviewing claims for corrections or release.

Required Knowledge and Experience

High School diploma and one year in healthcare-related field. Physician billing or medical practice experience preferred.

Required Skills and Abilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong computer skills and knowledge of EMR systems; Athena knowledge preferred but not required. Individual will be required to perform venipuncture. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
