Overview
Seeking an experienced QA professional (9+ years) with strong manual testing background in front office trading applications and order management systems (OMS). The role focuses on validating front office equities workflows, trading functionality, and compliance / reporting requirements. Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder and have an active LinkedIn profile.
Key Responsibilities
Perform manual QA testing of front-end trading applications with emphasis on front office equities workflows.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and traders to understand requirements and create comprehensive test cases.
Conduct functional, regression, and ad-hoc testing for new features, bug fixes, and system upgrades.
Validate workflows across Front Office (high-touch and electronic trading, global program trading, ETF basket creation / redemption, PnL calculation, stock loan locate, IOI, market data), Middle Office (booking, manual allocation, CTM, FIX allocation), and Compliance (RegNMS, RegSHO, TRF, ORF, TRACE, CAT reporting).
Report, track, and manage defects using JIRA; follow proper workflow management and escalation procedures.
Troubleshoot issues by analyzing logs, SQL queries, and test results; escalate as appropriate.
Work independently and collaboratively within a global team environment.
Required Skills & Experience
9+ years of QA testing experience in financial services with strong emphasis on manual testing of trading applications.
Deep understanding of equities trading workflows and front office technology; ability to use applications from a trader's perspective and perform day-to-day trading functions.
Experience with OMS and proprietary trading applications (FlexTrade, Fidessa, or similar).
Hands-on experience with FIX protocol for order flow and allocations.
Familiarity with compliance and regulatory reporting requirements (RegNMS, RegSHO, TRF, ORF, TRACE, CAT, etc.).
Experience using JIRA for bug tracking and workflow management.
Proficiency with Linux / Unix, SQL, and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; ability to document issues clearly and work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
