Description :

Responsible for all aspects of technical service work, both in-house and in the field. There will be a period of training,

after which the individual will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision. The individual will be

required to work with senior levels of customers, management, engineers, and technicians. Will be required to travel, sometimes on short notice on approximately 5-10 site visits annually.

Travel will be primarily domestic and include overseas clients on occasion.

Reports directly to the Service Engineering Supervisor

Job Duties :

• Receive, evaluate, and repair both new and used equipment from all Graham product lines and prepare customer reports with evaluation findings.
• Travel to customer's site for field inspection, trouble shooting and repair as appropriate, perform detailed diagnostic performance surveys in the field
• Prepare detailed inspection, diagnostics and field reports as well as quotations for replacement parts and equipment.
• Conduct maintenance and operation seminars for customers.
• Provide start-up assistance of new equipment and train operating personnel in its use.
• Operation of product test floor equipment and systems.
• Receive and handle customer calls related to service problems.
• Keep record, maintain files, and follow in-house paperwork, procedures, and systems.
• Observes safe work procedures and maintains good housekeeping standards.
• Care for tools and equipment used in the work area as well as on site visits
• Adherence to all customer policies and regulations when conducting site visits.
• Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
• Provide assistance to customers in troubleshooting issues.
• Have understanding of the science of mechanical repair of equipment.
• Self motivated and self directed and also able to work with a team with various backgrounds and skill sets
• Experience in customer service preferred
• Knowledge of vacuum and heat transfer equipment ideal but not required.
• Must obtain TWIC Card (Transport Workers ID Card)
• Must obtain US Passport within 120 days of hire as well as visas for travel to foreign countries as appropriate

Working Conditions :

May be required to stand, stoop, bend,kneel and squat for extended periods of time. May be exposed to fumes or dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts and moderate to loud noise levels.

Must wear appropriate protective gear and

clothing as necessary. May be required to move heavy equipment and objects short distances. Site visits may include working from elevated platforms.
