Udemy is a global company headquartered in San Francisco, with additional U.S. offices in Denver and Austin, and international hubs in Australia, India, Ireland, Mexico, and Trkiye. This is an in-office position, requiring three days a week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.
About Your Skills
Software Development Leadership : Leading and directing software engineering teams to conceive, specify, design, program, document, test, and maintain software applications and components while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technical excellence.
Stakeholder Management : Identifying stakeholders, determining their influence, developing a communication management plan, and influencing stakeholders through engagement to drive successful outcomes across engineering initiatives.
Championing Change : Preparing, supporting, and guiding individuals, teams, and organizations through technological and operational transitions to achieve desired outcomes and ensure the successful implementation of transformative initiatives.
Strategic Roadmap Planning : Creating detailed plans and strategies to guide the development and implementation of engineering projects and initiatives, including identifying key milestones, resources, and timelines that align with long-term organizational objectives.
About This Role
As VP, Engineering for Talent and Performance, you will lead the engineering strategy and execution for Udemy's core marketplace platforms that connect millions of learners with instructors worldwide. This role presents the opportunity to drive technical innovation at scale while building and mentoring high-performing engineering teams that deliver products used by millions of users globally. You will work closely with other functional leaders in the company, including those in finance, product management, sales, and services.
