This position is a Pay per visit compensation model.

Pay per visit ranges from $80 - $100 / visit commensurate with experience and depending on type of visit. The compensation reflected on this posting is an estimate of yearly compensation.

Join our innovative therapy model where our Occupational Therapists (OTs) work alongside an RN Case Manager and PT. As a team, we travel to patients' homes throughout the day, delivering personalized care that helps patients empower themselves.

As a Occupational Therapist (OT), you will play a crucial role in providing optimum care to our home-bound patients. Working under the direction of the attending physician, you will evaluate, supervise, and provide occupational therapy services to patients in the comfort of their homes.

Your dedication and expertise will contribute to the overall well-being and independence of our patients. All documentation is done electronically using a smartphone provided by Lorian.

In this role, you will :

  • Provide treatment as ordered by the attending physician, dentist, or podiatrist.
  • Assist in developing and updating the patient's plan of treatment or Plan of Care (POC).
  • Evaluate the level of function in collaboration with the physician.
  • Observe, record, and report patient information to the attending physician, case manager, and in the patient's record.
  • Advise, consult, and instruct family members and Lorian personnel on therapy programs.
  • Teach and supervise other healthcare personnel when appropriate.
  • Evaluate the home environment and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Participate in in-service education programs.
  • Complete, maintain, and submit accurate clinical notes according to Lorian policies and procedures.

Qualifications for the position include :

  • Graduate of an occupational therapy school accredited by the Council of Medical Education of the AMA or the State Department of Education.
  • Registered by the Occupational Therapist Association and licensed in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of two (1) year of appropriate experience as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
  • Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Flexibility and a cooperative mindset.
  • Tact, patience, and good personal hygiene.
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance in accordance with Lorian Health requirements.
  • Verbal communication skills in the language of the client and ability to document client-related activities.
