Inspector
Overview
The Inspector at Cook Winston-Salem is responsible to inspect products according to regulated procedures.
Responsibilities
- Inspect products and or components per detailed specifications and / or drawings for quality, which includes, but is not limited to the following :
- Visually, dimensionally and functionally inspect product
- Determine whether the product is acceptable using prescribed standards
- Complete all necessary documentation
- Assist in training new employees in the department
- Perform daily and weekly cleaning
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to read, write, and understand product specifications, drawings, work orders, labels and quality forms written in English
- Ability to use a variety of testing equipment including small measuring devices
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 18 years of age
Physical Requirements :
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
- Majority of work is conducted in a controlled environment
- Visual Acuity to work with small parts
- Majority of day is spent sitting and walking within various departments
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 10lbs 90% of day; remaining 10% able to co-carry up to 35lbs
- Ability to perform fine manipulation with hands . grasping, pinching pulling
