Shipping Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Shipping Lead to oversee our shipping operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the shipping team, ensuring timely and accurate shipments, and maintaining high standards of inventory control and logistics. This role requires strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems and processes.

Duties

• Supervise daily shipping operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage inventory control processes to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
• Oversee the logistics of shipping and receiving, including coordination with carriers and vendors.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in shipping operations.
• Train, mentor, and manage the shipping team to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking shipments and inventory.
• Handle materials handling tasks, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Collaborate with e-commerce teams to fulfill online orders accurately and promptly.
• Ensure proper documentation for all shipping activities is maintained.
