A Quality Technician job in Tacoma , WA is available at Milgard Windows and Doors. In this role, you will conduct assignments to support new product deployment and sustaining activities around compliance and reliability.

The hourly compensation range is between $23.00 to $26.45, depending on experience.

Quality Lead job responsibilities include :

  • Audit in-process quality checks, finished product checks, and finished products.
  • Update and keep quality records of product checks and testing.
  • Actively investigate quality issues to find root causes / implement quality improvements / implement and audit sustainment plans.
  • Work with multiple positions on quality-related issues including EEs, Leads, supervisors, and managers.
  • Work in conjunction with Milgard corporate quality management as well as direct operation management.
  • Establish work measurement programs and analyze work samples to develop standards for quality in conjunction with the operation of a corporate quality standard.
  • Recommend methods for improving quality and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as process changes, tooling changes, or adjustments while adhering to quality standards.
  • Implement changes through Location operations teams without having direct management responsibility for these teams.

Qualifications :

  • Three years or more related quality / production experience is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment in a manufacturing facility.
  • Performs regular job duties with little to no supervision.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
