Overview
Make real-world machines quieter, smoother, and stronger
Imagine your first week in Racine, WI : you're in the lab early, mapping out a full-vehicle test plan. You write a clear test request that sets the procedures and acceptance criteria, then brief the team—assigning the right tasks to engineers and technicians based on their expertise and workload. You select and calibrate accelerometers, microphones, pressure transducers, and speed sensors, set up the data acquisition system, and head to the vehicle bay. The day moves from stationary engine vibration limits to suspension optimization and shift-quality assessments under load. By afternoon, you're analyzing sound quality, power, pressure, and acoustic transmission, and partnering with Product Engineering to recommend mitigation strategies and acoustic materials. You close the loop with suppliers and Applied partners so the next iteration is better than the last.
