Pioneer Welding & Fabrication (PWF) is a Florida-based structural steel contractor specializing in Division 5 fabrication and installation for commercial projects across the state. Our projects typically range from $200K to $800K in value, serving clients who expect precision, communication, and timely delivery. We’re seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee steel projects from planning through completion and help drive our continued growth.
Role Overview
As a Project Manager, you’ll coordinate all phases of structural steel projects — from contract award to final installation. You’ll manage budgets, schedules, RFIs, and submittals while ensuring each job meets quality and safety standards. This is a hands-on role that requires daily communication with field teams, vendors, and general contractors.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget.
Coordinate resources — shop, field crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
Monitor progress to ensure timelines and financial targets are met.
Lead project meetings and communicate updates to management and clients.
Identify and resolve technical conflicts and schedule challenges.
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and purchasing activities.
Use BlueBeam and other construction software for plan review and coordination.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in structural steel project management or fabrication erection.
Strong skills in scope negotiation, detailing coordination, delivery scheduling, and budget management.
Proficient in BlueBeam and comfortable using project management tools or learning quickly.
Excellent communication and organizational skills with an eye for detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, field-driven environment.
Must live within a reasonable commute of Apopka and be available for on-site work daily.

Competitive salary range of $70K – $90K based on experience and performance.
