Hydroponic Cultivation Technician
The Hydroponic Cultivation Technician will be responsible for maintaining and operating our hydroponic growing systems. They will ensure optimal growing conditions for plants by monitoring environmental variables, nutrient solutions, and plant health. The ideal candidate is passionate about sustainable agriculture, has hands-on experience with hydroponics, and is dedicated to the success of our crops. Key Responsibilities :
- System Maintenance : Regularly monitor and maintain hydroponic systems, including nutrient delivery systems, water pumps, lighting, and environmental controls (temperature, humidity, and CO2 levels).
- Plant Care : Oversee the health of plants, including planting, pruning, harvesting, and pest management. Ensure that all crops are grown according to company standards and practices.
- Nutrient Management : Prepare and adjust nutrient solutions based on crop needs. Perform water tests to monitor pH and nutrient levels, ensuring plants receive optimal nutrients for growth.
- Environmental Monitoring : Monitor and control growing conditions (light, humidity, temperature) using automated systems and manual checks to ensure the ideal environment for plant growth.
- Data Tracking : Maintain accurate records of plant growth cycles, nutrient levels, water quality, and environmental conditions. Use data to make informed decisions on crop care and system adjustments.
- Troubleshooting : Identify and resolve technical issues with the hydroponic systems and equipment. Report major problems and assist in repairs as needed.
- Harvesting and Packaging : Assist with harvesting crops at the peak of freshness, ensuring proper handling and packaging for distribution.
