We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Specialist to join a team in New Brighton, Minnesota. In this long-term contract role, you will be responsible for supporting project accounting and coordination efforts, ensuring financial accuracy, and assisting in the successful execution of project timelines. Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets, expenses, and financial aspects of ongoing projects.
• Utilize advanced Excel formulas and tools to track, analyze, and report on financial and project-related data.
• Coordinate project timelines, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and resources are allocated effectively.
• Identify potential project risks and work with teams to implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Maintain and update project plans, ensuring all documentation is accurate and accessible.
• Assist in managing project execution, from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Act as a liaison between various departments to facilitate clear communication and resolve any project-related challenges.
• Prepare and present financial reports, project updates, and status summaries to stakeholders.
• Support in the development and improvement of project management processes and workflows.
• Organize and document project meetings, ensuring key decisions and action items are effectively communicated to all parties.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in project accounting, construction accounting, or a related area.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with advanced formulas and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, including planning, execution, and risk management.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with project finance and budgeting processes.
