About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience required

License : Valid RN license required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications required

Must-Have :

• 2 years recent RN Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB / GYN, and Labor and Delivery experience.
• Experience caring for OB / GYN patients, including post-operative care, antepartum care, triage care, and labor and delivery care.

Description :

Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.

Appropriately assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care.

Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.

Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual / psychosocial support needs.

Evaluates the learning needs of patients and / or their families and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Circulates during Cesarean sections, attends deliveries, and assists the physician as needed.

Follows appropriate policies during the recovery and care of surgical patients.

Attends the neonatal station in the Cesarean section suite and assesses the neonate post-delivery.

Attends fetal monitoring certification classes every two years.

Maintains NRP certification and attends STABLE certification classes when offered.

Identifies necessary information to be communicated to physicians and patients.

Candidate may be required to float to other units as helping hands or sitters based on facility census.
