Job description

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Urgent Care PA in New York!

About The Position

We are seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in New York. This opportunity begins on Oct 29, 2025, and offers a 2-day assignment with 12-hour shifts from 8am to 8pm. The provider will manage urgent care cases, including COVID-related visits, and must be skilled in suturing and splinting. Candidates should be prepared for a steady patient flow until closing each day and must ensure all patients are seen before leaving.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Evaluate and treat urgent care cases, including COVID-related presentations
  • Perform suturing and splinting as needed
  • Manage a high volume of walk-in patients until the clinic closes (8pm weekdays, 4pm weekends)
  • Ensure all patients are seen before leaving at the end of each shift
  • Provide timely, high-quality care in a fast-paced environment
