RESIDENTIAL AV PROJECT MANAGER / LEAD TECHNICIAN

LOCATION : Eastern Michigan

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Audio / Video and Automation Systems in residential and light commercial projects within your assigned territory.

This encompasses tasks such as prewiring, trim-out, final installation, and programming specific to each project. You will also be responsible for providing customer support and troubleshooting after project completion, aiming to maintain or surpass the high standards that the company clients expect.

Your primary objective will be to ensure the efficient utilization of resources, including travel and site visits, labor hours, materials, and more.

This will help in preventing or minimizing cost overruns and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within the proposed budget.

Responsibilities :

• Manage all aspects of a project and ensure completion of projects on time and within budget for all scopes.
• Overall success of project including installation and system performance, ensure that the vision of what was sold is comparable to what was installed.
• Effectively manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Primary point of contact both internally and externally for assigned projects, ability to communicate with other trades and contractors.
• Maintain up-to-date project schedules and adjust completion dates accordingly
• Manage financial aspects of all projects.
• Create, manage, and issue change orders.
• Attend all site meetings.
• Ensure all product has been ordered and received in time for installations.
• Supervise field staff and the quality of installations being performed.
• Ensure project documentation (floorplans, Elevations, wire schedules, etc.) is up to date and accurate.
• Perform quality checks of all systems prior to client turnover and ensure installations are done to company standards.
• Ensure client satisfaction and perform system training at the end of each project.

Requirements :

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Control4 installation and programming.
• Strong knowledge and experience in Control 4 systems is required.
• Control 4 Automation Programming certified is preferred.
• AV System installation and troubleshooting : 3 years (Preferred)
• We will give particular attention to individuals who have prior experience with similar systems such as AMX, Crestron, URC Total Control, etc.
• Having experience with Lutron, Josh.ai, Ruckus Networks, SAVI, or OvrC would also be an advantage for this role.
• A demonstrated expertise in network installation, configuration, and problem-solving is also required.
• Preferably someone local or willing to travel to Jackson, MI.
