Senior Buyer

We are partnering with a repeat client in the Greater Milwaukee area that is looking for a Senior Buyer. They are looking for someone with a passion for strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost-saving initiatives. The role is on-site in Milwaukee area so candidates need to be local to the area.

Job Responsibilities :

• Develop and manage supplier performance and scorecard system.
• Drive improvements in top spend categories to support supply chain productivity goals.
• Implement strategic sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure finished goods availability.
• Negotiate with suppliers (price, terms, conditions & lead time).
• Develop purchasing strategies to mitigate risk within current supply chain.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities and marketplace for potential strategic opportunities.
• Implement procurement best practices such as economic order quantities, stocking agreements and Kanban material deliveries.
• Proactively work with suppliers to minimize supply disruption.
