Telemetry RN Job Details

Location : Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC 28801

Unit : 6 West Neurosciences (36-bed Telemetry unit)

Assignment Type : Travel RN Contract

Start Date : November 17, 2025

End Date : February 16, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Schedule : Every other weekend required

Dress Code : Navy blue scrubs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active, unencumbered RN license (North Carolina or compact state)

Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry or Med-Surg nursing experience

Current ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications

Proficient in IV starts and Foley catheter insertions

Strong clinical skills and self-motivated, outgoing personality

Neurosciences or neuro nursing experience preferred

Ability to float to other Med-Surg units as needed

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care on a 36-bed Neurosciences Telemetry unit

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and neurological status

Perform nursing procedures including IV starts and Foley insertions

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members

Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR

Follow hospital policies, unit guidelines, and safety protocols

Participate in orientation and utilize staff reference materials
