Regional Manager, Retirement Planning
Oversees the management and development of one or more regional teams of Retirement Planning Consultants that provide education, planning services and advice to plan participants of major retirement plan clients for Transamerica. Works closely with Client Executives and other leaders within the Advice Center to ensure overall communications program, education and Advice Center objectives are met.
Responsibilities
- Oversee staff recruitment, performance management, product / systems training and sales coaching.
- Manager multiple managers.
- Develop policies, procedures, and best practices for the division while ensuring compliance with regulations, company policies, and client expectations.
- Provide on-going evaluation and critique of managers and subordinates. Review evaluations conducted by managers to achieve consistency within the organization.
- Establish and drive individual and team goals; assess training and coaching needs.
- Ensure high client service and satisfaction scores via touch point surveys and Net Promoter Scores.
- Refine the education delivery mechanisms and operational processes to provide a consistent and scalable business model.
- Develop training programs, communication tools, and reporting processes to support team growth and sales results.
- Display commitment to employee growth and development by conducting fair and constructive performance appraisals; actively engage in employee training, and maintain and monitor quality indicators and compliance policies.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and implement quality solutions.
- Develop and manage team budget and develop plans to achieve revenue and expense targets.
- Partner with other areas of the Advice Center and TA Retirement Solutions as an integrated extension of the participant education and Advice program.
- Provide support to the Sales team in sales finals or sale finals presentations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business or finance, or equivalent industry experienceSeven years of sales / marketing / education experience in the financial services / insurance industryFive years of supervisory experienceIn-depth investment knowledgeFINRA Series 6 or 7FINRA Series 63 or obtain within six monthsRetirement Plans Associate (RPA) or Chartered Retirement Plan Counselor (CRPC). Higher certification (e.g. CFP, CRC, CEBS, ChFC, CIMA, CRPS) acceptable in lieu of RPA or CRPCManagement skills to lead, coach, develop and motivate staffAdvanced communication skills to present information to a wide variety of audiencesInterpersonal and relationship building skills to promote services and motivate staffAnalytical and problem-solving skills to analyze trends / manage budgets and resolve customer issuesProficiency using MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Preferred Qualifications
