About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department, Level I Trauma experience preferred

License : MO or Compact license required

Certifications : ACLS, PALS required, CPI preferred

Must-Have :

• 2 years of overall experience, with 1 year in specialty
• Level I trauma experience
• Floating required between emergency department and observation unit

Description :

We are seeking a registered nurse specializing in emergency care.

The position involves working in a high-volume emergency department.

You will be part of a team that provides care for trauma, stroke, and STEMI cases.

The emergency department also includes a pediatrics section.

Psychiatric services are available but will not float.

You will need to manage critical care cases and administer various treatments.

Experience in arterial line management, blood product administration, and procedural sedation is preferred.

Knowledge of interpreting arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias is essential.

The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and social services.

You will be expected to work 50% of holidays during the contract.

Floating is mandatory, including as patient observers.

Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in patient care.

The daily patient census exceeds 200 with a bed capacity of 58.
