Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a travel position requiring a KY or compact license and at least two years of recent OR experience.

Responsibilities

  • Position is based in a hospital operating room setting
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Shift is from 6 : 30am to 7 : 00pm
  • Care for surgical patients in the operating room
  • Perform all typical perioperative RN duties in a busy OR environment
  • All gaps in work history of three months or more require an explanation
  • First time travelers are accepted
  • Must adhere to required hospital testing and orientation modules
  • Only AHA certifications are accepted
  • No exceptions to vaccination requirements

    • Requirements

  • Active KY or compact RN license with no disciplinary actions
  • Minimum of two years of recent operating room RN experience required
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) training required and may be completed onsite
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and seasonal influenza
  • Applicants must provide a valid US Social Security Number
  • No local candidates within a 50-mile radius
