Procurement Specialist

Job Summary

This position is based in a Children's Medical Center, with Morrison Healthcare, the department of Food and Nutrition Services.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manages the accuracy of term set setup & maintenance (pricing & volume allowance).
• Accurately administers pricing and volume allowance processes by working with Category Development Managers.
• Performs price verification (supplier price submission vs. established contract price mechanism).
• Conducts term set analysis (pricing & rebate); formulates recommendations for improvements and term set consolidation.
• Develops detailed understanding of Legal Contracts and ensures that CERES reflects the agreed to commercial terms of the contract.
• Maintains the categorization / sub categorization of all catalog items.
• Provides excellent customer service and support to internal / external stakeholders.
• Supports timely and accurate submission of Retro / Revised billing requests.
• Performs various types of analysis by customer / distributor / category / item relative to purchase volume, quantities, pricing and rebates.
• Develops product knowledge and understanding of market conditions.
• Works with the appropriate internal stakeholders to resolve manufacturer billing discrepancies.
• Investigates pricing inquiries from units.
