Job Summary : The Events Manager at Arlo Midtown is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events across our outlets, ensuring each occasion runs seamlessly and exceeds guest expectations. This role requires exceptional organization, strong communication skills, and a passion for creating memorable experiences. The Events Manager will also oversee financial performance, collaborate closely with property leadership, and foster relationships with existing clients while actively attracting new business to Arlo Midtown’s event spaces.
Key Responsibilities
Guest & Client Communication : Respond promptly to daily voicemails and event inquiries.
Event Management : Oversee all bookings, large groups, and private events using event platforms.
Financial Tracking : Monitor gratuities, fees, and documentation related to private bookings.
Service Standards : Uphold Arlo Midtown’s service standards for both daily operations and events, following SOPs.
F&B Operations : Support opening and closing of F&B spaces as needed.
Financial Procedures : Complete daily financial checklists and procedures accurately.
Operational Analysis : Utilize platforms to provide analytical insights into event operations.
Client Relations : Host potential, current, and future clients to strengthen relationships and drive repeat business.
Team Leadership : Ensure staff adhere to company guidelines and support event team members in execution.
Availability : Maintain open availability, working a minimum of 50 hours per week or until all tasks are complete.
Corporate Liaison : Act as the property liaison for corporate activations.
Event Reviews : Lead weekly meetings to review all on‑site events, including private dinners, parties, activations, and meetings.
Floor Management : Assist with floor management responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
Proven experience in event and F&B management
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Thorough understanding of restaurant operations and inventory management
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced environment
Open availability required for all leadership positions
Knowledge of forecasting and budgeting for event outlets
Skilled in training and staff development
Ability to sell and upsell event services to clients
Experience with Tripleseat or similar event platforms
Creative, detail‑oriented, and guest‑focused personality
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to travel as needed for on‑site event management and client meetings
