Position Overview
The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring compliance with GAAP and maintaining accurate financial records. This position is critical for supporting the financial health of the organization and for preparing financial reports that inform strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements in all financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Coordinate and support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is required.Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.Experience with public accounting (PUBL) is preferred.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Benefits
