Your Next Opportunity

The Engineering Team Lead is an engineering management position responsible for providing technical engineering oversight and design team management for assigned projects. This role includes financial, resource allocation, logistic and technical leadership of projects, with the ability to mentor and train staff under supervision.

What You’ll Do

• Specialize in Medium Voltage customer substation design
• Interface with Bay Area Utilities, incorporating utility requirements, interconnect agreements & service requests
• Understand project requirements and develop a design fee for the work requested
• Prepare and oversee work plans for engineering and production resources
• Oversee Engineers, Designers and Modeling staff assigned to team or project work
• Communicate with Project Manager or Executive regarding effort required to accomplish deliverables, including requests for additional services
• Lead the Engineering CAC effort and interaction with the project PM
• Resolve complex problems (e.g., conflicting design requirements, materials suitability, coordination)
• Coordinate with city, state, and county officials and other regulatory agencies
• Attend project design meetings with the Design Build Team
• Perform Job Site Visits to review installation or assess conditions
• Perform Value Engineering studies
• Act as Engineer of Record for projects within responsibility
• Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned within the business unit
