We are searching for enthusiastic, caring team members for our continuing care community! This is a per diem opportunity, filling in as we have need / as you are available.

2+ years of education in rehabilitative and geriatric nursing or equivalent experience required. Must have Associates or Bachelors degree with a valid RN license, active in the CT State Registry.

Knowledge of OBRA regulations preferred. Rates begin at $45-$50 per hour.

Skills and Competencies :

  • Ability to read, speak and understand the English language clearly.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills in person and via telephone.
  • Ability to make decisions and assessments.
  • Strong computer skills; knowledge of MatrixCare and Microsoft Office helpful.
  • Ability to maintain good rapport with staff, families, physicians and residents.
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
  • Ability to relate to elderly in a dignified manner.
  • Document Medicare Certifications and Recertification’s ensuring doctor’s signatures are present.
  • Submitting Medicare Denial Letters to Resident / Power Of Attorney (POW) / Health Care Advocate (HCA) per Medicare regulations.
  • Facilitation skills for conducting Care Conferences.
