The Grant Analyst is a finance professional who supports program leadership with budget preparation, financial reporting, and fiscal review and analysis for a variety of programs statewide.

As the Grant Analyst, you will prepare monthly and quarterly reports for various government funding grants and contracts, apply your subject matter expertise and discretion to assess and determine expense allowability, reconcile account receivable details to the general ledger and recommend adjustments needed to clear open discrepancies, ensure timely submission of program vouchers to funders as well as the finance office via financial software.

The Grant Analyst also serves as the primary contact for program staff for matters related to grant funding and financial reporting.

Candidate qualifications :

• Associate’s degree or higher in accounting or finance required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least two years’ relevant business experience required.
• Experience with budget preparation and financial analysis preferred.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office required; experience with Great Plains software a plus.

Job details :

• Compensation : Range starts at $52,000, commensurate with experience
• Benefits : Medical / dental / vision insurance, 3+ weeks paid time off in the first year including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day (PTO increases with tenure);

11 paid holidays, supplemental insurance options, 401(k) with match (more benefits details here)

• Location : Must be within reasonable driving distance to Chicago and available to work from home office at 200 West Monroe Street (downtown Chicago loop) 2x / week.
• Schedule : Full-time, salaried; regular business hours.
• Student Loan Forgiveness : Brightpoint is an approved agency for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
