Shipboard Missiles has an opening for a Business Operations Manager position that will report to the Vice President of Shipboard Missiles. This role works closely with the Shipboard Missiles Leadership Team to lead strategic projects, drive the business cadence, facilitate executive communications, and support the overall health of the portfolio. Fully integrated into the day-to-day business operations and long-term strategic direction, this highly visible role requires a high level of creativity, innovation, and initiative. Success in this position depends on strong attention to detail, the ability to respond quickly to evolving business needs, and the ability to develop solutions to complex challenges.
This position is designed to be a short-term assignment (18-24 months) and serves as a development opportunity for a future program manager.

What You Will Do :
Prepare and manage executive-level communications for the Shipboard Missiles SSBU.Coordinate, plan, and execute strategic internal and external engagements, including customer visits, leadership events, and key stakeholder meetings.Promote and support the adoption of the latest digital transformation tools and collaborative environments to enhance team-wide communication, data sharing, and knowledge management.Manage and drive the day-to-day business cadence (battle rhythm) of the SSBU portfolio to ensure alignment with program objectives.Facilitate strategic discussions with cross-functional teams to support major milestones and long-term planning.Track contract deliverables and ensure timely, accurate reporting to program leadership.Set budgetary guidelines and oversee SSBU overhead performance to support financial health and accountability.Manage budgets for employee recognition programs to foster engagement and morale.Support the risk and opportunity management process in alignment with strategic and financial goals.Capture and track program action items, collaborating with owners to ensure timely closure across all portfolios.Ability to travel as neededWhat You Will Learn :

A University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years' experiencePrior Program, Project and or Business management experienceQualifications We Prefer :
Demonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communicationsProgram Management Level 4 Certification, or on path to achieve within 12 monthsExperience with financial analysis tools and project management tools and / or systemsExperience preparing and presenting Executive-level briefingsExperience balancing technical, cost, and / or schedule constraintsExperience leading cross-functional teams in the Aerospace and Defense industryExperience developing and reviewing cost proposals and synthesizing Gate 4 and Gate 5 packages for management review and approvalExperience supporting development, production, and / or sustainment programs, preferably in the aerospace and defense industryWorking knowledge of contract formation, execution, management, and / or closeoutExperience conducting international business and managing cross-cultural communicationProduct lifecycle management experienceWhat We Offer :
