Maintenance Mechanic (Compactor Equipment)

Pay Range : $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Schedule : Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime and weekend work

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic (Compactor Equipment) to join their team and help maintain the reliability and efficiency of compactor systems. Key Responsibilities :

Perform maintenance and repairs on compactor systems of all makes, following maintenance and repair orders.

Diagnose and resolve electrical , hydraulic , and mechanical issues in compacting systems.

Inspect, test, and record findings to ensure necessary repairs are completed accurately.

Provide detailed labor and time estimates for required repairs.

Maintain up-to-date documentation for all repairs and ensure the integrity of the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program.

Contribute to a safe, productive, and positive work environment.

Qualifications :

Experience working with compacting systems (trash compaction Rollers, road compactor, Garbage, waste compactors, Plate compactors) is required.

Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical , hydraulic , and mechanical systems.

Welding and fabrication experience is required.

Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a focus on efficient solutions.

Team-oriented and flexible, with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Must hold a valid driver's license; CDL and DOT physical card are highly preferred.

Availability to work a flexible schedule, including potential overtime or weekend hours.
