Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology contract in New Jersey requiring trauma or stroke center experience and active NJ or compact license.
Responsibilities
Position located in the Interventional Radiology unit covering a cancer center and main campus settingsDay shifts, four 10-hour shifts (8 : 00 AM - 6 : 30 PM)On-call required 1-2 days per week, averaging 4-6 call assignments per monthPatient population includes cancer center IR cases and conscious sedation recovery, with some patients transitioning to PACUClinicians float between the main campus and cancer center, facilities are connected by a pedestrian bridgeUses Epic for documentation; Epic experience preferredResponsibilities include IR procedures, monitoring patients under conscious sedation, and assisting with PICC procedures during on-callFirst-time travelers welcome to applyMust be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract periodBlock scheduling not allowedCandidates required to float within skill set based on staffing and census needsModules and Epic training are completed pre-start; up to 18 hours of required modulesScrub attire required as per unit policyRequirements
Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of considerationBLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications requiredMinimum 1.5 years Level I trauma experience or 2 years Level II trauma experience; stroke center experience acceptedA-line and procedural wedge pressure experience requiredEKOS or similar device experience is highly preferredScrub experience preferred but not requiredReferences required at time of considerationLocals acceptedFormer employees must be gone at least 1 year to be eligibleBenefits
