DC Team Leader
Location : Owensboro, Kentucky
As a UniFirst Group Leader, you will support the objective of leading / managing team partners in a department on a shift.
Responsibilities :
- Works directly with Production Supervisor or Department Manager, to coordinate daily production requirements driving workflow through the department
- Admins timekeeping systems and reports, ensures accuracy of payroll daily. Provides clear written and verbal instructions and feedback as needed to ensure proper execution of job and attainment of KPIs
- Responsible for operations, including quality inspection of products produced, and basic machine operation and maintenance
- Defines and communicates goals
- Ensures timely flow of work throughout Processing Areas
- Oversees health and safety regulations, followed and in compliance, investigate incidents and accidents per policy
- Reviews production demands and reports on a daily basis, adjusting staff or workflow as needed
- Communicates directly with Maintenance staff as needed to resolve equipment / operational issues
- Maintains inventory and efficient use of supplies and raw materials used for production
- Following SOX guidelines, defines materials and supply purchase needs, works with Supervisor or Manager on PO's
- Required to attend scheduled staff meetings, daily internal production meetings, and others as needed

Supports training of new Team Partners and ensures compliance with training is metPlans daily workflow and delegates tasksSupports Supervisors, Managers, and HR with activity in coaching, counseling, and corrective actionQualifications : Requirements :
Associate's Degree (AS) or Bachelor's Degree (BA) PreferredTwo or more years of related experience and / or training in the fieldEquivalent combination of Education and ExperiencePrevious experience managing diverse teams of 20+ team partnersKnowledge and background in distribution systems driven environmentRequired to read and write English and follow verbal and / or written instructionsShould be proficient in computer programs, such as spreadsheets and databasesMust possess the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writingAbility to read, analyze, and interpret written instructionAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsAbility to interpret an extensive variety of instructions, both verbal and writtenMust possess the ability to hear, talk, see, and distinguish between colorsIn addition, this position requires cross-training in other areas of the facilityReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsBenefits & Perks :
