Job Summary : Provides patient care and performs medical services with a concentration in aesthetics. Position is located in our Aesthetic Dermatology Center.
Essential functions required :
- Obtains complete medical history and physical data on patients. Reviews patient records.
- Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed.
- Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
- Synthesizes data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan.
- Prescribes drugs in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Prepares electronic or written prescriptions.
- Interviews and advises patients regarding health and illness prevention.
- Records patient progress notes, issues diagnostic orders, and transcribes orders in electronic health records.
- Confirms CPT and ICD-10 codes for services rendered in electronic health record.
- Provides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
- Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
- Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Participates in events specific to the Aesthetic Dermatology Center, such as marketing endeavors, cosmetic ordering, laser safety training, and crash cart maintenance
- Collaborates with practice leadership to ensure procedures, policies, billing, paperwork, pricing, and other practice-specific items are accurate and appropriate.
- Performs related work as required.
Physical demands : Must be able to remain stationary at desk, sitting at workstations for long periods of time; read and view computer screen for long periods of time; must be able to communicate effectively with patients and co-workers; constantly operates computer; use telephone effectively; move about the practice as needed; light lifting
Educational and credentialing requirements : Graduation from an accredited Physician?s Assistant program and certification from NCCPA. Must possess an NC Medical License and NC DEA License.
Experience requirements : Three years of general dermatology experience. Previous aesthetics experience preferred.
PHI role based : Access to EMA to send intramail, document in patient charts, order prescriptions, review labs.
