Overview

Director, Compliance at Hinge Health. Reporting to the company’s legal officer, the Director of Compliance will lead the company’s Compliance function, providing strategic leadership, advising business stakeholders on compliance matters, as well as privacy and information governance. This role collaborates with the Privacy Counsel, VP of Legal and Chief Information Security Officer in the design, development, implementation, and management of compliance, privacy, and information governance programs and associated systems. The role is part of a post-IPO company and offers the opportunity to build in and grow with a dynamic organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and lead a Compliance Program that reflects the organization’s unique characteristics.
  • Advise the company’s Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors on strategic compliance matters and interface with external regulators as necessary.
  • Coordinate and lead quarterly Compliance Committee meetings, including review of risk and issue management, and accountability for action items to remediate risks or issues.
  • Manage or oversee compliance projects and initiatives, including audits and inquiries (regulatory and internal), accreditations, risk assessments and audit readiness.
  • Lead compliance monitoring to identify process gaps, validate compliance levels, map processes, and prepare reports or presentations for leadership.
  • Implement and ensure adherence to Corporate Ethics, Privacy, Information Management and Compliance standards, including drafting and adopting policies and procedures to support the business.
  • Monitor global legal, regulatory, and business developments and industry privacy best practices as well as company strategies related to compliance to assess impact, and consult with stakeholders as a subject matter expert.
  • Conduct investigations and create and enforce corrective action plans.
  • Design and implement training programs for new hires and annual training.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA / BS in Law or a related field.
  • 15+ years health care privacy and health care regulatory or compliance experience; or any combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing compliance programs in a regulated industry (e.g., healthcare, technology, or financial services).
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, SOX) and industry standards.
  • Experience leading compliance audits, investigations, and risk assessments.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong leadership / managerial skills and ability to motivate / coach other staff
  • CCB, CHC, HCISPP or CIPP Certification
  • MS / MBA / JD or professional designation
  • Global Compliance Experience
  • Compensation

    This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. The annual salary range for this position is $232,000 - $348,000.
