Food Pantry Assistant
Position Summary
The Food Pantry Assistant / Manager oversees the operations of the food pantry, including but not limited to the training and coordination of food pantry volunteers, Restocking of food pantry items, cost and quality control, and weekly statistics and reports as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Maintains food pantry inventory and cleanliness of the pantry.
- Collect appropriate data to determine food needs in specific areas.
- Supervision of food pantry volunteers.
- Responsible for implementing food pantry policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Education, Certifications and / or Licenses Current Texas Wesleyan Student Experience Open to all experience levels Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with current software programs.
- Ability to adhere to University and departmental procedures and policies.
- Ability to work independently in the most efficient manner with minimum supervision.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and office atmosphere.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to provide and demonstrate quality customer service.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and remain diplomatic while working with diverse groups in various situations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, while complying with government regulations.
- Ability to maintain a neat and professional appearance and office atmosphere.
- Ability to maintain composure in challenging or emergency situations while handling situations in a professional manner.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques with the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
