Morgan Auto Group is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee several regionally centralized accounting teams, including Accounts Payable, Banking, and Inventory . This role is responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all processes, and supporting continued development of our centralized accounting structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage centralized teams, including AP, Banking Clerks, and Inventory Accounting.
- Oversee workflow, accuracy, and timeliness of all accounting processes.
- Ensure proper internal controls, segregation of duties, and compliance with company policies.
- Support the development, refinement, and documentation of standardized procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor KPIs, productivity, and quality across each centralized function.
- Assist with month-end closing, account reconciliations, and schedule reviews.
- Collaborate with Controllers, Office Managers, and store leadership to resolve issues.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members to support long-term growth.
- Participate in projects related to system upgrades, workflow automation, and process improvement.
- Other duties as assigned by Leadership.
Qualifications
Automotive dealership accounting experience required (multi-store or large group preferred).Experience working in a centralized accounting environment strongly preferred.Strong understanding of AP workflow, banking processes, inventory accounting, and internal controls.Proven ability to manage and motivate accounting teams.High level of organization, accuracy, and follow-through.Strong Excel skills; experience with DMS platforms (Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, Autosoft, etc.) preferred.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and leadership ability.Equal Opportunity Employer
