Job Summary
The office of Faculty Development seeks to hire a current SLCC Adjunct Faculty member to aid in the Faculty Development office giving the adjunct faculty perspective. This position will help with various events and cohorts that the office of Faculty Development sponsors. This is an on-campus position. Essential Responsibilities and Duties The Operations Associate, Adjunct Faculty Fellow will aid in the Adjunct Faculty Institute program by giving feedback and suggestions on content, communicating with participants and presenters, helping with logistics, and aiding the assistant director with other duties implementing the program. The Operations Associate will also help with other Faculty Development efforts such as sharing resources with SLCC faculty at various campuses, attending and giving feedback on New Faculty Cohort efforts, and assistance with other Faculty Development offerings. The Operations Associate will also attend Faculty Development Staff Meetings, attend New Faculty Cohort monthly events, Adjunct Faculty Institute monthly events, and Adjunct Faculty Impact sub-committee meetings . Essential Responsibilities and Duties Continued Minimum Qualifications Currently participating in the Adjunct Faculty Institute at SLCC. Preferred Qualifications Participated in an ACUE Credential Course or ACUE Micro-credential Course Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Able to share the experience of an adjunct faculty member at SLCC.
Understand the SLCC student experience.
Proficient in computer literacy and digital navigational skills.
Able to travel to various campuses
Available to attend Friday New Faculty Cohort monthly events, Monday evening Adjunct Faculty Institute monthly events, and Monday afternoon Adjunct Faculty Impact Committee meetings once a month.
Able to work on campus in the Faculty Development Office.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College.Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
