Technical Specialist

Job Summary :

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking a Technical Specialist to serve as an ECM Solution Designer within the Engineering Application Services Department. This role focuses on designing web application solutions to support NCDOT's Construction and Materials and Tests business processes. The specialist will be responsible for design, quality assurance, and business analysis, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, well-documented solutions.

Location : Washington, District of Columbia, United States

Responsibilities :

• Design SharePoint and web-based solutions to support Construction and Materials and Tests business processes.
• Break down designs into clearly defined, manageable work items for the development team.
• Prioritize and track progress on work items and deliverables.
• Ensure work items and deliverables are scheduled, completed, and delivered on time with high quality and usable documentation.
• Document program and project deliverables as assigned.
• Coordinate with clients to implement re-engineered business processes.
• Test SharePoint and web-based content management deliverables as required.
• Draft and deliver training materials for changed business processes and IT applications.
• Consult with clients to prototype, refine, test, and debug applications and processes.
• Provide quality control for program and project deliverables.
