Description : JDP is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager in the Canton, OH area. The qualified individual will ensure consistent production of quality, safe product by following government and corporate guidelines. They will supervise all Quality Assurance associates and perform all jobs safely, accurately and efficiently to improve and maintain plant performance in Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the plant in product quality and food safety.
• Serve as liaison for all governmental inspections.
• Participate in corporate regulatory compliance audits and inspections.
• Audit plant sanitation processes through product testing, environmental testing, and physical inspections.
• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are effectively followed.
• Maintain pest control program compliance and support quality initiatives.
• Ensure that Sanitation SOPs, HACCP, formulations, allergen programs, and finished products meet specifications.
• Ensure Quality Assurance staff is properly resourced, trained, and undergoes annual GMP, SQF, and Food Safety training.
• Ensure accurate record keeping per company, SQF, and government regulations.
• Ensure receiving procedures for ingredients meet safety and quality standards.
• Investigate all consumer comments, collaborate with production on action plans.
• Assist Food Technology Department with product audits, development, and raw material calculations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in production.
• Provide feedback to suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve relationships.
• Assist staff management in SQF requirements and policies.
• Support the creation, application, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems.
• Accountable to company Food Safety and Quality Principles.
• Oversee and train direct reports, complete performance reviews and provide feedback.
