Position Summary :
We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to work in tandem with our Project Superintendent and field team on vertical construction projects in the Greater Denver Metro Area. The Assistant Superintendent will support field operations, assist in subcontractor oversight, schedule tracking and quality monitoring, and help drive the successful on-site execution of projects. This role offers a career path toward full Superintendent responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist the Project Superintendent in supervising all field operations and subcontractor performance onsite.
- Help monitor schedule progress, update job-site logs and reports, and alert leadership to schedule or cost variances.
- Support coordination with subcontractors, vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and scopes.
- Assist in enforcing safety protocols, conducting site-walks, safety audits, and quality inspections.
- Participate in daily job-site meetings, subcontractor coordination calls, and weekly look-ahead planning.
- Assist in cost tracking, change order documentation, and work with project team to identify potential savings or efficiencies.
- Monitor subs’ work for conformance to drawings, specifications and company quality standards.
- Support mobilization, site set-up, temporary utilities, logistics and site conditions preparation.
- Mentor field crews and subcontractor foremen as delegated by Superintendent.
- Contribute to project close-out : punch-list tracking, as-built drawings coordination, turnover documentation and warranty hand-over.
Qualifications & Experience :
Minimum 2-4 years of field construction experience in vertical building or similar construction environment (commercial, multi-family, mixed-use).Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required if robust field experience.Familiarity with construction scheduling, subcontractor coordination, cost monitoring, and quality practices.Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and assist in fast-paced field environment.Effective communication and interpersonal skills — able to work cooperatively with Superintendent, trade partners, and project team.Familiar with construction management software or willing to learn.Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel to project sites as required; capacity for extended hours when needed.Compensation & Benefits :
