This role is a hands-on opportunity to design and implement modern Master Data Management (MDM) solutions and data architectures that support enterprise-wide data initiatives. The MDM Data Architect will collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality, secure, and scalable data platforms. This includes developing authoritative data models, building robust ETL / ELT pipelines, and ensuring optimal performance of data warehouses and data lakes. You will apply best practices in cloud-native technologies, streaming and batch processing, and metadata management to enhance organizational data capabilities. The position offers a remote, flexible environment, promoting innovation, collaboration, and professional growth while impacting strategic data initiatives.
Accountabilities :
- Architect and implement scalable MDM solutions across domains such as customer, product, vendor, and company data.
- Define Master Critical Data Elements (MCDEs), data lineage, and transformation logic in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models and hierarchies, supporting analytics and operational needs.
- Lead development, testing, and documentation of data pipelines, schemas, and associated business logic for batch and streaming processes.
- Ensure data architecture meets non-functional requirements, including security, scalability, resiliency, performance, and disaster recovery.
- Guide data warehousing strategies, ensuring efficient storage and metadata management across gold, silver, and bronze layers.
- Mentor and support data engineers, reviewing technical solutions and ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.5+ years of hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.).3+ years designing and implementing data architectures for MDM, data warehouses, or big data ecosystems.Expertise in leading MDM platforms such as Informatica, Semarchy, or Profisee.Experience with cloud data platforms (GCP preferred, Azure as alternate) and integration with MDM solutions.Strong SQL skills with experience in query optimization and performance tuning.Hands-on experience with ETL / ELT pipelines, orchestration tools (Airflow, Data Factory, dbt), and at least one programming / scripting language (Python, Scala, .NET Core).Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and security best practices.Familiarity with NoSQL / graph databases (MongoDB, Neo4j) and healthcare data warehousing is a plus.Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, DevOps tools (Kubernetes, Ansible, containers), CI / CD pipelines, Jira, and Confluence.Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaborative skills.Benefits
