Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for an outpatient diagnostic imaging role, requiring ARRT(MRI) certification and at least 2 years of MRI experience.

Responsibilities

  • Outpatient advanced medical imaging setting specializing in MRI procedures
  • Performs comprehensive MRI exams and techniques for diagnostic and treatment support
  • Works with cross-sectional anatomy and a variety of imaging techniques
  • Full-time schedule of 4x10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with shifts starting as early as 6 : 00 a.m. and ending as late as 7 : 00 p.m.
  • Some on-call coverage, possible extended hours, or weekend work may be required
  • Performs MRI procedures as requested and assists medical staff during exams
  • Completes accurate documentation and maintains imaging records for reporting and archiving
  • Responsible for routine maintenance and inspection of MRI scanner equipment
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives within the department
  • Professional demeanor, sound judgement, and ability to work independently are expected

    • Requirements

  • Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program or equivalent
  • Current ARRT and ARRT(MRI) certification
  • Active BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Certified MRI Technician certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of prior MRI experience required
  • Computer skills including MS Office, EMR, and internet applications
  • Must live at least 90 miles from the facility for consideration
  • License required if applicable
