Quantum Education Professionals is looking for an Assistant Principal, for school-based placements. The position is immediate and for the 2024-2025 school year for in-person learning.

The duties of an assistant principal are as follows, but not limited to :

Leadership and Administration :

Collaborate with the principal in setting the school's vision, goals, and objectives.

Assist in the development and implementation of school policies, procedures, and programs.

Provide instructional leadership by supporting and evaluating teachers and staff.

Help create a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes student success and well-being.

Support the principal in managing school resources, including budgets, facilities, and technology.

Student Discipline and Behavior Management :

Work with teachers, parents, and students to maintain a safe and respectful school environment.

Address disciplinary issues and enforce school policies, following appropriate procedures.

Develop and implement strategies to promote positive behavior and prevent conflicts.

Collaborate with teachers to implement effective behavior management practices.

Curriculum and Instruction

Support the implementation of curriculum standards and instructional practices.

Collaborate with teachers to develop and enhance instructional programs.

Monitor and evaluate teaching methods and student achievement data.

Provide professional development opportunities for teachers to improve their instructional skills.

Student Support and Development

Assist in identifying and addressing individual student needs, including academic, social, and emotional support.

Collaborate with counselors, support staff, and community resources to provide student services.

Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide support for students with special needs.

Parent and Community Engagement

Foster positive relationships with parents, guardians, and the wider community.

Communicate regularly with parents, providing updates on school activities and student progress.

Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to enhance educational opportunities for students.

School Safety and Emergency Preparedness

Work with the principal to develop and implement safety procedures and emergency plans.

Conduct safety drills and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies or crisis situations.
