Business Development Director

Do you want to make a difference in keeping people and society safe? As a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for Saab’s marketing and business development activities. Your primary focus is on, but not limited to, military electronics, sensor and communication solutions across all domains. The role includes identifying and pursuing multiple business opportunities with further support of implementation programmes. You will be committed to delivering high quality results and meeting deadlines in a fast-moving market where decisions are followed by prompt actions.

You will report directly to the Head of Country Office Poland. Your main place of work will be the company’s modern HQ in Warsaw (city centre). Frequent domestic travel across Poland and regular international trips, mainly within Europe is required.

Fluent Polish language is required for this position. As English is our corporate language so high level of proficiency is mandatory.

A valid personal security clearance is required for the position.

Responsibilities :

Responsible for marketing and business development of Saab’s product portfolio to Poland, with focus on military electronics, sensor and communications solutions and other joint solutions,

Secure order intake in accordance with set business target,

Identify and qualify new business opportunities through good understanding of customer requirements and the market,

Assess and develop potential industrial partners,

Participate in defence procurement process,

Consistent interaction with customers, industry partners and other stakeholders on a daily / weekly basis,

Collaborate with active support delivery project execution in country,

Participate in regional defence events, trade shows and lead product demonstrations,

Be involved in the creation and implementation of marketing strategy and coordinate communication activities,

Act in accordance with company policies and regulations,

Contribute to additional business initiatives and activities in response to changing priorities and opportunities.

Your Profile :

Academic, military or other relevant postgraduate education,

Proven experience of successful marketing and business development in defence market business in Poland,

Comprehensive technical system-of-systems knowledge in the military electronics, sensor and communications solutions in all domains,

Good product knowledge in terms of technical base specifications and understanding of commercial aspects,

Good understanding of the Polish defence landscape, market environment and procurement process,

Experience from international and domestic industrial relations and how to build and maintain successful partnerships with industry actors,

This position requires that you will be approved in a security vetting in accordance to ISO : 27001

Your skills and competencies :

Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills,

Team player and able to work independently with a strong personal drive,

Solid project management capabilities,

Strong business acumen and high personal integrity in business ethics,

Well- developed social skills to build up and maintain interpersonal, business partner and customer relations,

Capable of coordinate several complex issues simultaneously with focusing on priorities.
