Summary
The Vice President of Freight Forwarding Operations reports to the LOGISTEED America, Inc. President & COO. This role will primarily have full responsibility and accountability for the company’s direction, operations and growth efforts in the Freight Forwarding division. The Vice President of Freight Forwarding Operations will provide direction and leadership to the organization including but not limited to :
- This position will have responsibility to develop, plan and implement key activity and to drive critical and strategic growth across our North American operations so they must be driven and extremely organized
- Play a critical role in helping to shape and guide future growth and development of the freight forwarding division and organization
- Develop and implement an integrated operational strategy and organization capable of achieving business objectives
- Monitor performance against plan, and oversee budgets and financial tracking for the organization,
- Translate this strategy and implement dedicated programs, complete with measurable goals and KPIs.
- Be highly flexible with a “think outside of the box” mentality; and have a forward-thinking vision mentality.

Previous Work Experience
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in freight forwarding and / or logistics industry that includes working in multiple business disciplines (finance, distribution, HR, IT, etc.)Minimum 5 years of managerial / supervisory experience with proven leadership skills and team building resultsEducation and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance / accounting, human resources / law, or other business-related discipline (or equivalent work experience)Master’s Degree preferredEquivalent work experience will be consideredExperience Requirements and Preferences

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ninety percent of the work time will be spent in an office setting where the environment is climate controlled. Ten percent of work time may be spent in various warehouse or other locations where the environment is not climate controlled (hot and cold seasonally).
