Job description

A School in Rochester is currently seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join their growing team.

About the Opportunity :

Start Date : ASAP
Assignment Length : Ongoing (Contract to Hire)
Schedule : Monday - Friday
Hours : 8a-4p
Patient Population : Ages 5-22, IDD

Responsibilities : The SLP will :

Evaluating communication skills to include : receptive language, expressive language, articulation, voice, fluency, oral-motor skills and hearing.

Developing a comprehensive service plan according to program policies and regulations, including school, outpatient, etc.

Providing therapy as outlined by treatment plan of communication disorders of Individual Treatment Plan / Individual Education Plan.

Maintaining professional standards in and out of the Center in compliance with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Code of Ethics.

Instructing and counseling students / clients and / or their families regarding the specific nature of their communications impairments and how to best deal with this in various speaking situations.

Qualifications :

Master's degree or its equivalent in the field of Speech Pathology

Hold Certificate of Clinical Competence from American Speech / Hearing Association

Current state Speech / Language Pathologist license

Three+ years of experience working with children as a speech / language pathologist.

Desired Skills :

Experience with IDD students
