LOCATION : West LA (Hybrid)
- Possibility of remote role for the right fit
PAY RANGE : $130K - $175K (based on experience)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Review and Analyze Upside of Potential Actions
Organize and maintain electronic personnel files and related documentationReview client intakes, personnel files, and policy documents to identify violations of the Labor CodeReview arbitration agreements to determine potential for enforceabilitySummarize key facts and flag any gaps or inconsistencies in employment recordsConfirm the litigation history of previous matters against the employer-defendant(s)Conduct research and analysis on potential claims and recent caselawProvide recommendations to the Head of the Department and Principal regarding whether to file an action and, if so, the strategic scope of the matter(s) and the identities of the defendantsLiaise with clients, opposing counsel and government agencies, as necessaryPAGA Notices and Complaint
Draft, format, and finalize PAGA noticesDraft, format and finalize wage-and-hour class action complaintsCoordinate service of notices and track deadlines for governmental agenciesTeam Collaboration & Supervision
Coordinate with paralegals, legal assistants, the Head of the Department and the Principal to ensure accurate file management and deadline compliance.Required Qualifications
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in the California State Bar.1–4 years of relevant litigation experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, PDF software, and legal research platforms.Strong drafting, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
